Yep. I have to agree that shoes will not be the only problem in this pending marriage. I hope the writer keeps in contact with us to let us know how it goes.

As for the fellow from NYC, I agree that some more therapy might be helpful....

For SHACINYC, my heart goes out to you. I truly feel your pain and confusion, I mean TRULY FEEL it.

From personal experience, for what it's worth, there's only so much therapy can do to you, whether you've seen professionals for one year or ten years. In the end, it's ONLY up to YOU to make a stand and decide to close that chapter in your Life and stop reliving it. Time heals pain, not scars. The more we dig up our dark moments, the more our scars are now weaker and there's a chance for 'infection' again.

All the professionals of the world can guide you through these painful moments but in the end, the ONLY person that can make any changes.

You are a self worth person with abilities - look at your success in Life with your Marriage and Career - that alone shows you that you can achieve your goals once you have your mind set. Don't doubt yourself - as Churchill once said, "the only thing to fear is Fear itself".

WOW -- as for the shoes!!! this is when "if the shoe fits" does not apply !!! Yes this is a shrinks dream..

I say RUn Forest RUn !!

and for the Man with success and demons...
At some point he has to deal with letting go of the luggage! Obviously he may need more help from someone that can just isolate and deal with only this issue..
